Maybe it was nerves. Or maybe it just wasn't the time to issue a clarification.
But in court Monday, Nicole Richie's lawyer Mark Geragos referred to Joel Madden as her husband and Richie didn't correct him. The pair have been together for years and have two children.
The marital reference came up during her 15 minutes of testimony at a hearing in which a judge issued a restraining order against two aggressive paparazzi.
Richie, 28, wearing black slacks, a black-and-white blouse and her hair in a bun, stated on the witness stand she was "crying hysterically and scared" last month after she was rear-ended by the two photographers, who she says "stalk and harass" her daily.
"Did you call your husband?" asked Geragos.
"Yes," Richie said.
Madden also testified, telling L.A. Superior Court Judge Carol Boas Goodson that Richie "is terrified" that the photographers might cause another accident involving their children, Harlow, 22 months, and Sparrow, 9 weeks, whom she's with "24/7," he said.
The photographers, Ivon Miguel and Eduardo Arrivabene, attended the hearing and denied that they ever trespassed on Richie's property, which she alleged. At one point, Miguel stated to Richie, "I want to apologize for the accident. You don't have to worry about us. I come from a good family."
But the judge ordered the men to stay 50 yards away from Richie and her two children until 2012.

| CNN pays Lou Dobbs to Leave |

The New York Post is reporting that Lou Dobbs was paid 8 MILLION dollars to leave CNN before his contract was up in a year and a half. CNN president Jonathan Klein and Dobbs had been at odds with the direction of Dobbs show for some time. CNN's reputation as a non partisan network was taking some severe hits because of Dobbs xenophobic reports on illegal immigration and his giving credence to the so called "Birther" movement by asking President Obama to show his birth certificate on air. To call Lou Dobbs an embarrassment to CNN would be an understatement, I suspected that there was more to the story than the normal happy I QUIT SUDDENLY LOL message Dobbs intimated it was, but, if true, this shows exactly how badly CNN wanted him gone. Latino groups have been outraged and threatening boycotts for quite some time, so maybe CNN got the hint?

A 20-year old Shanghai woman of mixed race has sparked a huge discussion about race in China. Lou Jing is half black; she was raised by a Chinese mother and speaks and acts like any other Chinese girl. But when the aspiring TV anchor entered an American Idol-like contest and rapped on-stage, she attracted both sensational admiration and ignorant hate. The presenters adoringly called her "chocolate girl" on stage — meanwhile, on web forums, people called her gross and ugly and criticized her mother for having sex with a black person out of wedlock. In an interview with NPR's All Things Considered, Lou Jing says: "I've always thought of myself as Shanghainese, but after the competition I started to have doubts about who I really am."
Lou Jing has never met her dad, who left China without knowing he had gotten her mom pregnant. She hopes to study journalism at Columbia University.

His Out 100 interview was posted earlier but the editor had many unflattering things to say about Adam Lambert & his management not wanting him to be "too" gay.
Ever since American Idol's mascara-wearing runner-up Adam Lambert came out, it seems his people can't wait to get him back in a little.
In the new Out 100 issue of Out--which I write for--editor Aaron Hicklin pens a sharp letter criticizing Lambert's management for their namby-pambiness in trying to re-cloak his sexuality. Lambert gave the magazine a terrific interview, but his handlers were not so glorious, alas.
Says Hicklin:
*Adam's people were reluctant to let him appear on the cover. They only let it happen if it was a group shot, preferably including someone straight. (This even though Out was first in line, ages ago, in asking for a Lambert cover. Somehow Details was granted a crack at him first, presenting the singer caressing a barely clad woman and talking about kissing girls, though he did also manage to get in the fact that he's gay).
*Out was urged not to make Adam too gay in the shot.
*They were also informed that Adam probably wouldn't be able to attend an Out 100 event because they didn't want to jeopardize his record sales.

Have they not seen his album cover? I guess it's written by a guy that could lose his job over it but still, the guy has boys in tarzan tarps in his video and a Lisa Frank wanna be album cover. It doesn't get much gayer than that. Plus, seems like the dude is either too gay or not gay enough. There's seriously no winning in this situation.

The video's premise is based on Anya being the employee at a sex shop and her customers are none other than Justin Kirk (Weeds), Daniel Vosovic (Project Runway), and Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield).
Someone in conjunction with the popular WB series Gossip Girl also took notice of Anya's sexy, stripped down version and placed "Whatever You Like" as the backdrop music to the much talked about kissing scene between Hilary Duff, Jessica Szohr, and Penn Badgley from last weeks Gossip Girl's episode.
This song was the number one downloaded track a couple of days ago on iTunes Alternative. Right now it is at #10.

Girl, 5, sold into prostitution by her own mother hunted by U.S. police
U.S. police were today hunting for a missing five-year-old girl who was sold for sex by her mother.
Shaniya Davis has been missing for six days after she was last seen being carried into a hotel room by a man.
FBI agents and U.S. Marshalls have joined the nationwide search for the toddler amid fears she had been sold to a paedophile ring.
Police have charged the girl's mother Antoinette Davis with human trafficking and prostitution offences.
An arrest warrant issued for the 25-year-old said she allowed her daughter to be taken 'with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude.'
Davis, who is pregnant, first reported her daughter missing last Tuesday.
Police were suspicious of her story after reviewing a timeline of the events leading up to her disappearance from a trailer park in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

After discovering this afternoon that Kevin, Jenna, Chris, Amber, Lea, Mark, Dianna, Matthew, and Jessalyn are all going to be attending the 'New Moon' Premiere tonight I decided to do a little investigating. Considering how crazy the twilight franchize is I figured that to those mega fans some pictures from the red carpet just weren't going to cut it. So I found a live feed =)
The best thing about most red carpet events is that the guests usually always arrive before the stars of the films. So, if they even decide to show them, you can watch the cast before any of the mania even really begins! Now, this is a huge maybe that they'll show up on this feed. But hey, it's a random Monday night and it's worth a try. The camera will go live at 6:00PM PST.
oh and one more thing, here at ontd_glee we will not delete your comments/posts if you decide to go off topic, ever. ;) just throwing that out there.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Pop star Janet Jackson holds Michael Jackson's personal doctor responsible for her brother's sudden death and has told ABC News that a day does not go by when she doesn't think about her late sibling.
"He was the one that was administering," Janet Jackson said about Houston-based physician Dr. Conrad Murray. "I think he is responsible."
Murray, who was hired to treat Michael Jackson in the months before Jackson died on June 25 of a drug overdose, is currently a target in the manslaughter investigation of the "Thriller" singer's death.
Since June, Los Angeles County coroner officials have said the powerful anesthetic propofol, which is used in surgery, and the sedative lorazepam, were the primary drugs responsible for Jackson's death. Police have referred the case to prosecutors to determine if criminal charges should be filed.
Janet Jackson has remained mostly quiet about her brother's death, but she spoke with ABC television journalist Robin Roberts in an interview set to air Wednesday night on the network's show "In the Spotlight."
"It's been a tough year," Jackson told Roberts, in excerpts posted on ABC News' website on Monday. "You have your days where it's just really -- it's hard to believe. And a day doesn't go by that I don't think about him."
